Summer Workshop 2023
GummyBears Robotics collaborated with the FRC team, Stormgears 5422, to run a one-week summer camp hosting 13 children interested in FLL robotics.
This was our first year running this successful summer workshop. We hosted 13 students, and all of them went on to join or form their own FLL teams! We also invited FRC team 5422 Stormgears to demo their cool robot, which greatly inspired the students.
We encouraged teamwork by starting the day with a presentation about one of the six core values of FIRST. Then, we led a team challenge, where students had to build a structure out of everyday materials (inspired by DI instant challenges), encouraging them to embody the core values they had just learned about.
