On May 2nd, 2026, GummyBears Robotics went to Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts STEM Fest at Camp Cedar Hill in Waltham, with over 300 girls coming to see our robots

On May 2nd, GummyBears Robotics went to the Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts STEM Fest at Camp Cedar Hill in Waltham. We ran a hands-on robotics booth with lots of cool activities!

We had two ping-pong-size stations where kids could control EV3 robots and try a ball-kicking game. We also brought a three-foot-tall LEGO vending machine that gave out bags of gummy bears, a VEX robot that people could drive around, and a huge box of LEGO pieces for free building.

There were almost 300 Girl Scouts there! Lots of girls of all ages came to our booth to try the robots, and we also had a banner to tell people about our summer camp. Many scanned our QR codes to subscribe to our youtube channel. There was a lot of laughing when our dog-shaped robot tried to “bite” someone’s hand and missed. The LEGO vending machine was definitely the most popular.

Someone from LEGO Education even recorded a video of how it works because they thought it was so cool! It was awesome to see how curious and excited everyone was about robotics. We were really happy to share what we built with the community.

The STEM Fest also got a lot of media coverage, which made the whole event feel even more exciting.
Big thanks to our volunteer presenters and coaches who helped make our booth super fun. Kids didn’t want to leave!
