Overall, this visit was about more than just LEGO sets—it was about creating meaningful moments and sharing joy. Seeing the kids’ excitement and engagement reminded us why GummyBears Robotics does what we do. We left Friendly House feeling inspired, grateful, and we hope to continue making a positive impact in our community.

Today, members of GummyBears Robotics came back to Friendly House to give them presents for the holidays! There were ~20 kids from ages K-2. We started by giving them a little custom made lego set by the member of the GummyBears - these sets were made using donate legos! We had more than enough sets for the kids but they ended up going back for second and third sets afterwards. The kids were all so focused and engaged in building the sets, and they all devoured their gummy bears immediately.

The organizers from Friendly House shared how meaningful the visit was, telling us that “The kids were looking forward to it and were so excited when they were told that we were coming.” Hearing this made our visit feel even more special and purposeful. From the moment we arrived, the kids’ excitement, smiles, and eagerness to build made the room feel full of energy and joy.

They also mentioned that “It was some of the kids’ first times building LEGO sets or doing anything with robotics,” which made the experience even more meaningful for our team. Watching the kids focus, experiment, and proudly show off their creations highlighted how impactful these first hands-on experiences can be. It reminded us that even small opportunities can spark curiosity and confidence.
